Post Mods Not Working
Allo, im new, When i download a mod, i get winrar and all that, and i extract the mod folder to Program files/Data Realms/Cortex Command. Frist of all, is that right?
Sorry if this is off Topic but i searched around the fourms and founf nothing.

It also says "Cannot Create File -insert name here-. The system could not Find path specified"

I have Windows 7, could this stuff it up? or is it the New version? because i baught it just yesterday.

Do you know whats happing?

Program files screws CC up pretty bad, move it to your desktop.

Not disabling super-protective bitching in W7 screws CC up pretty bad, disable it.

I'm running 7 and my CC is in Program Files, I had no issues whatsoever since I disabled the whole 'be admin to fart in C drive' BS.

Sadly, I forgot how exactly i've done that, so just move it to desktop. >________>'

Da hell? NOW this is fairly fked up. Mods. Download them, check. Extract to Cortex Command folder, check. .rte & Data Module, check. Now the weird thing is that one time I got them working. Missions, troops, weapons, all. But now, when I start up the game, theyre not there. Just not there. THEN when trying to put them in again, when seeing Extract, they are shown to be in the folder. Okay, but when I open it, they arent there. I even removed the game and re-installed it. Didnt help at all. I am getting frustrated...
EDIT: Also this seems to pop up.. RTE Aborted! ABortion in file .\System\Reader.cpp line 531 because,
Wrong type in Reader when passed to Serializable::Create() in Base.rte/Settings.ini at line 184! The last frame has been dumped to 'abortscreen.bmp'

I'm guessing all those crashes wiped your settings.
Just reinstall cc on your desktop and put your mods in slowly, like 3 at a time.
